Bio
Hello! I'm Malik Jabati. In the past few years, I've worked as a Senior Business Analyst in McKinsey & Company's Washington, D.C. office, for The New York Times as a Software Engineer in New York City, and at the Obama Foundation on its Program and International teams in Washington, D.C.
At the moment, I live in Brooklyn and am interested in leveraging GenAI for big data problems, software development for essential business functions, financial markets, central economic policy, and baseball. I have worked, studied and traveled in over 20 countries, and I can hold a conversation in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Arabic. In my free time, I cool off by playing some tunes on the alto saxophone, biking around town (e.g., road, fixed gear, BMX, and MTB), playing pickup soccer or basketball, and DJing!
In 2019, I graduated with Highest Distinction from Honors Carolina at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I was a Morehead-Cain Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa. I was also inducted into the Order of the Golden Fleece, UNC's oldest and highest honorary society, for my extracurricular involvement on campus. In 2015, I was designated a U.S. Presidential Scholar.
